RELEASED Kawa's Felin Species (v3.3.3)

Maybe you forgot something in your tutorial?

 

I'm happy to announce that if Kawa does that, the Felin Species mod will be fully compatible with Starbound ModLoader.

 

Meanwhile, I'm just sitting here designing my own mod installer/deinstaller. It uses XML scripts and a reasonable grasp of JSON to make changes and be able to revert them.

I might even implement it.

Hey kawa! Was wondering if you would ever do a tutorial on how to make your own species I really want to try too. My modding exp is from making custom character in don't starve and default character replacements for fallout NV xD

Nope, it's made by CCorp (aka CyberConnect2 for people who only remember the publisher name, and not the in-game name of the company.) Who also made .hack series.

 

How do you add races to this game?
if you made a tutorial, i'd really like it.

Updated the download. This version includes tails, custom names, sounds, a ship...

 

This is pretty great work here. I'm pretty sure I could use this as I guide to make my own race - it does seem pretty simply, generally. Though not sure how easy it would be for me to find the item names for the starter clothes options, but the main bulk of the work seems getting the config files and sprites correct.

Haha, oh man... you could probably pretty easiiy quash together a quick composite race by combining this and Avians, haha. Bet it might take an hour or two, tops, as long as the sprites mostly match up.

No. I tried it with my friend. It can sort of work - that is, you could log onto someone else's server with your custom race, but noone will be able to come near you, or it will crash their client. Each person (and the server) needs to have the files.
