Good Job, Armagon! He did a great job directing that panel.

Some good info in that as well.

I meant more like Minecraft in that there was a large chunk of time between first public release and a "finished" version. 2 and a half years between Alpha and Full Release.

  6. Seriously, they should rename the event to "Lagsomnia".
    This stuttering is unbearable anymore.

There are lots of games that follow the alpha-funding model and are successful. Project Zomboid, Minecraft, KSP, Gnomoria, Prison ARchitect and few others. BUT for the game to be successful in Alpha-Funding model it needs to be essentially a fully playable game, that is no game-breaking bugs (even if lacking a bit in features.) SB has got a problem in that area. As we could have seen during the stream the game crashes to desktop during FTL at random. That is... SB is not a releasable game even by Alpha-Funding standards.

I'm going to repeat myself in a simpler matter. I'm comparing dev-time, not release format. I believe that there will be an amount of time between the Beta release and full release of Starbound that is comparable to the time between the Alpha release of minecraft and the "final" release.

Judging by a pic dev posted few days back I presume it's going to be a mech or a tank of some sort

Agree some big ol' mech that will destroy everything in its path. Can't wait!

I think the meet and greet was probably not recorded, maybe more of a casual gathering?
