Hylotl Villages/Cities/Dungeons

I think your right that they're an easter egg, but I think its an easter egg acknowledging the lack of hylotl stuff - like a really basic way of showing that their not totally ignoring that race. If you download any of the hylotl mods, the frog statues appear among the other hylotl items, and the fact that its like, meditating, seems to suggest an asian bent. I don't know much about coding, but I assume there's some sort of directory for the different races and their dungeons, so maybe this is just like filler for the Hylotl bit that they haven't filled in yet.

 

Heh, my friend and I have been waiting for Hylotl cities. You can see his mind visually explode when he simply speaks of water planets.

It sucks. I've found two glitch villages and in both of them, the guards told me "just pipe down fish." I find that a little racist.

 

Floran can't wait to ssstab hylotl people and burn sssteal their villages.

 

Actually, I found one hut with two florans and they were friendly, they screamed: "Greenguard, help me!" when they got attacked. I liked them. They were farmers. I found one of them holding a hoe, farming wheat. Then they got killed and i built another copy of the house and protected it from monsters. R.I.P Jolly floran :-(.

 

I hope the NPCs will make insulting haikus about me that i dont get.

NPC: "Dumbest plant i found
Smells of old grapes and bad fuel
Should shower in fire"

Player " your language is so pretty"

 

I've found many bandit camps that sometimes have hylotl bandits... although they are always hostile

 

You could create a village of Hylotls by making a bunch of spawners.

 

Here's my Hylotl city, intended for RP use. But so far, no citizens on the server

It has a secured entry point, a city inn with 12 rooms, 1 for the owner. Hot springs and a tea house, commerce area and armour and weapon smith with their houses. Indoor market. Hylotl home planet memorial, farm and communications and satellite defense relay tower.

 

Figures that the Hylotl content hasn't been added yet, since without racial-bonuses underwater cities could become a problem.

That issue asside though, I can hardly wait for it! ALL of the plundering. Me and my Floran are gonna have ssso much fun.

 

Didn't Chucklefish say they were going to add user created buildings to the game? I'd definitely like to see something like that officially added.

there are no water planets in the game yet unless you use a mod like Variety is the Spice of the Universe.

takes about 4 seconds to dl it. then just unzip it and put the 1 folder in your C/programfiles(x86)/steam/steamapps/common/starbound/mods folder and voila...it works.

thx , I ask because on terraria and other games like that, mods are atrocious
