So, in the first new picture Tiy released today.

If you look closely at the fire in the igloo, there seems to be some sort of sprite of a (animal?) on it, and farther down the right on the last hill of the screen, (May need to edit to see) there seems to be a crab. Also the character on the left inside the igloo has what seems to be a (Spear or shovel?) This could imply that they might be able to cook up passive animals on planets to give a buff? Or to restore health? Post your ideas and if you like this or not in the poll.

Edit - Food bar confirmed not to be in-game. Idea about it removed

looks like the woman has a pickaxe, and yeah the thing on the far right hill, is also in the fire, so you might be right:iswydt:

I didn't see the Pickax part of the tool, looked like a spade/spear for me when I first saw it.

I'm pretty sure it's the spear they used to kill the creature.

For convenience, let's all agree to just call it a crab, okay?

It does look like a spear really.
    ...
Already on the crab idea. :D

I would love to see cooking in starbound, whether it's for sustenance by some kind of hunger meter, or if food acts as a healing/buff item.

They said they "WOULD NOT" have food bars.

    Pentarctagon Over 9000!!!

All I see is a fire.

  9. Zeklo

The food could just give buffs or heal, cooking doesn't have to mean food bar.

    Yeah i know

Okay. I really didn't like an idea for a food bar in Starbound anyways. Wouldn't fit the feel of the game most probably.

If you look closely, you can see small red sprites at the bottom of the fire. On the hill to the right, theres some sort of (crab?) animal that looks like what is on the fire.

  14. LordChickenMan

    LordChickenMan Zeromus

    i seen that already

Well Minecraft is a survival game. (except creative mode and all that stuff)
I dont feel like Starbound much of a "Survival" game. Its like one, but just not like its all about surviving in one place. That's what Minecraft is

Thats a bad idea they don't have much content yet, I want it to take forever to come out so it has lot's of content and game play unlike terraria or minecraft.

True, but it still looks like it could be a sprite similiar to that crab animal on the hill to the right.
