How am I supposed to know at what difficulty a shield will be effective at?

I have a shield that I'm practically always using but I've noticed it stops blocking all the damage at certain levels to the point of being practically worthless.

Also if anyone has found a gun can I get the coordinates of the star and name of the planet?

I was wondering this too, the shield I'm using doesn't seem to have any stats, although it blocks nearly everything so far.

the worlds are procedurally generated, nobody can really tell you where a gun is at.

Then what is the point of sharing coordinates? I may be wrong but wasn't there some point in sharing them?

The coordinate system is used like world seeds in Minecraft. If someone finds a planet with a person that has a gun merchant or something, the player can enter the coordinates and go to that planet.

    Oh. That makes sense
