if orchestral remixes are a thing, this has a very very special place in my heart. Just the iconic theme of Battlefield makes me shiver to think how much time i spent on BF3 alone.
I miss BF3 and the birth of the Rendezook.

 

I have to commend whoever made the sound effects in BF3. Closest to real life any AAA title ever got in my opinion. The gameplay wasn't that innovative, and the single player plot was.... eeeeh.... let's just say next time they better hire Tom Clancy or someone similar, but the sound effects and the music were top notch.

 

yeh. Also, i feel like on last gen, it has better graphics. Probably because BF4 just got downgraded hard for last gen compared to BF3, built for last gen.
Also. This. This is why i play battlefield.
The simple fact that things can happen, and they are amazing. From sniping a jet pilot. To the jetswap.
to the famed rendezook pulled off by the man, the myth, the LEGEND. Stun_gravy.

 

You're gonna hate me for this, but I stopped playing Battlefield after BF3's single player. Not because I hate it or anything, just because I never got back to it for some reason or another. I'm also stupidly bad at multiplayer shooters, that might be a factor.

 

I liked BF3's campaign. Definetly better than "stereotypical black guy, chinese woman replaces dead guy, you is squadleader, filler squadmate must destroy the chinese before they destroy them" It had context. (and also when montes died i actually wanted to kill solomon) And i still to this day keep saying the word "Thats a fucking 50!" from Operation swordbreaker when in BF4 im getting sniped at. Also BF3 had coop. BF4 doesnt have coop. Im not that great either. it just so happens im somehow the top 2% recon in BF4 scoreboards.

Ahh yess, the SUAV. Probably the only reason im playing BF4.
Anyways. this dumb rant about my fanboying of BF3 is gonna be cut short.

Also had the misfortune of playing Planetside 2 before BF3 multiplayer. I was unimpressed.

 

So apparently the Gorch Fock, famous for being the only sail ship in the German navy and being used to train navy officers, will be retired because maintenance is becoming too expensive. Sure, let's raze the Brandenburger Tor while we're at it. Have people no respect for history anymore?

We basically got to the crusades before the year was over. We spent so much time on the Spanish that there was no time left for anything past 1600

 

Also BFBC 1 and 2 over Battlefield 3
I missed the crude humor of SP and the open battlefield of MP.
I'll never forget the day a friend of mine was using an emplaced minigun as defender in Atacama Desert, and decided to swivel around towards a bunch of enemies, blasting apart two buildings of which one held an MCOM station.
End tally:
- 2 buildings
- probably housing for 8 families
- one MCOM
- 5 friends
- the 2 enemies he was trying to kill

I agree. BC had way better campaign. With comic relief at that.
I still remember the days of flinging myself across the map in a jeep with a buddy placing C4 on BF3.
