Hello ,this is my first post, i have started modding, and i would like to now if i can modify files of the game while playing/testing, thank you very much!
You can with the /reload command. For the most part it will update th8ngs while you play. Otherwise a simple restart of the game will do.
It's also worth noting that most any changes to .configs will not reflect changes with this command. I've only used it for displaying changes to spritesheets, but I'm not sure the exact scope of what it reloads.
Yeah you can reload scripts and PNG edits will take hold, but JSON edits don't seem to. I seem to recall that in the past we had a more thorough reload(that took longer too). You can alternatively exit to the main menu and back.
