Greatest character creator idea ever!

If there were "endless possible choices" with the character creator, you would never be able to choose a first look, unless you're not picky. I think it will have a lot of options but I don't think the character creator itself will be procedurally generating options...

Re-cycle, re-cycle, re-cycle, re-cycle, over, over, over, over, over, over, over, again, again, again, again, again, again, in a endless stream of choices hoping that there is a indefinite amount of things to choose from when in reality it's not as unlimited as your brain perceives it.

 

I think this is an EPIC idea, but what if....someone steals your identity? :O

 

That could happen anyway and it happens every day to people in real life people in games.

And, I feel like implementing it would be great. It's similar to the "grid" suggestion, but I like mine more, and could work with the suggestion in the OP.

 

While I agree the idea is a good one, I doubt we would ever see it until the game is done. I agree with Blind Sniper on this one. There are still different options that haven't even been put in yet, and I'd rather the dev team focus on the game, rather than little aesthetic things for the beta character creator.

Perhaps one day.

 

But what if the space police come looking for you, but you're innocent? and then you go on an epic quest around the galaxy to prove your innocence in an action packed adventure? (this should be a DLC or a sequel )

 

I saw a preview video for the console version of Terraria the other day and I have to say I was pretty impressed with the interface improvements they made. Take a look at the character creator here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=wLEGfVVvO8E#t=50s They pretty much used my grid idea and it looks great.

 

Definitely better than the PC version. I wish my Terraria had that :U
