Bug/Issue game causes my laptop to freeze up after playing for a while

hello there,

i just started playing starbound around a week ago, bought it from steam.

and the problem with my game isn't that it lags. on a contrary it works fine, except for the fact that my game for some reason will s t o p working and when that happens, my laptop freezes as well. it will be unresponsive (both the game and my laptop) and my only choice is to hard reset my laptop.

i have not installed any mods at all, have not done anything to my game. it doesn't matter what am i doing in-game the game still freezes up period.

my laptop specs:
windows 10 home 64-bit
intel i5-6200u cpu @ 2.30ghz 2.40ghz
8gb ram
intel hd graphics 520 / amd radeon r5 m330

someone for the life of me please help me fix this issue. i can run any other game smoothly except for this one.
