Actually, a moon's size in relation to earth doesn't matter. As long as it's natural and in orbit around a planet, it's a moon.

I LOVE THE IDEA but I'm rather sure that starbound already added that from what I saw In a viedio

Look at the date of the latest reply. The beta wasn't out back then.

There are moons. That's why there are "planets" sharing the same orbit around the stars.

But more "moon-like" biomes, sure why not, that would be cool.

what if there was a planet bigger than Jupiter that had a moon as big as earth?

This is already in, I went on a moon once and found a Glitch village on it.

No, there are no moons bigger than earth. A gas giant is only able to have moons that equal 0.01% of the giants mass, for a "moon" to be bigger than the earth the gas giant would have to be a sun and then it's called a planet...

"natural and in orbit around a planet" that is called a natural satellite.

but is it was really a big @$$ planet with a big@$$ moon?

and shouldn't this go to the general discussion?

A really big planet is a gas giant, a planet is not able to stay solid at such a high mass.

ok that makes sense but this should seriously go to the general discussion /off topic page. and i'm pretty sure you looked that up.

No it shouldn't, this suggestion was made back in 2012. Why is it still floating around

maybe its a good idea hmmmmm...... ever think of that? :p

A good idea that's already implemented/being worked on. Look at how many people replied, or sometimes necrod this thread from 2012 saying "already in game". Makes me lol

oh, now that i bother to scroll up i found it (at least one of them) still i was just having a discussion about moons and planets i guess.
