It's simple: You apply for jobs, get the rewards, and then buy stuff from this shop. You can also loan pixels to people or take part in the Boss fights. In the first post under "Slayer" you can find those jobs, but since rhomboid is also a slayer she could take those jobs from you before you apply for them. The jobs are down right now, though.
