It actually wouldn't be that hard depending on how you did it. If you just had a counter so after you press a button 3 times the monster is allowed to it could work.
That's only the condition that would allow the mob to have learned a behavior. A simple counter. But how do you actually implement that behavior? It isn't just "let the mob push the button", it's a lot more complicated than that. You have to make the mob then target the object, make them use the object, and make them do so in a way that does not seem immediately stupid (like going and pushing a button just because they saw the player do it, for no reason other than they say the player do it).
They'd have a reason for pressing/using the object, like to retrieve food or hunt the player. Or maybe some would just be curious and be a "I PRESSED BUTTON" animal.
