Been playing Company of Heroes and watching RT's Extra Life stream. A pretty good way to spend a Saturday, although I'm not exactly that great at Company of Heroes.

Apparently soldiers can call back to companies like Barrett during a firefight.

 

Australia has so much gun control i can't even watch that video. literally.

Basically some US marines call tech support at Barrett because their Barrett .50 wasn't operating correctly during a fire fight.
While exchanging fire with the enemy a technician at Barrett walked them through reshaping part of the gun that was identified as bent so that it would work better.
The Marines thanked the technician and resumed using the rifle.

Theres also a story of a Marine calling back to his barracks during an operation with his personal phone to coordinate an airstrike from an AC 130.
The source was pretty much an after action report of the operation so I didn't feel too compelled to find the incident within it.
I imagine the marine was like "Oh shit! I have service! Lets get some air support!"
