Bug/Issue Cannot Start Starbound

The game crashes when i start the game from steam. I get the black screen and then where the chucklefish logo should have been is only a White Square. Soon the game shuts itself down.
Its the same thing everytime i start the game.

Operating system: Microsoft Windows 10 Home 10.0.14393 build 14393
Mods: I had been using mods but i wanted to delete them and so i did.
Windowed mode

I have tried to re-install starbound but the 'file is locked' and now im left with a game i cannot use.

Im wondering if you will even bother to help me...

 

Had the same happening to me once, wasn't able to delete the file because some permission problems, besides being admin/owner. Just google how to delete locked files / how to correct the ownership of the files. Unfortunately I don't know how I exactly solved the problem, but I did either with changing ownership / permission, a file assassin or deleting the files via command line(start cmd as admin) + restart.
