Been looking at the i49 stuff.... the game looks playable... Beta... sometime soonish? I dont see how it can be a beta when the game's practically finished. Beta means having players report bugs to help accelerate the release of the game.... Or... has the meaning of beta changed?

It was when the post was edited to strike out the part about the game coming out in 2013. But I think when September hit and there wasn't even word on when the beta was going to come out, let alone the full release, most of us would assume that the game was going to be delayed anyway... At least I would assume most gamers would assume that.

 

He's talking about the Official Release of the game. Previously, the official release was set to come out in 2013. That isn't going to happen because the team has obviously run into some snags that are slowing down development. On the 9th of September, Tiy updated his post to let us know that an "Official Release" isn't going to happen in 2013.

The BETA, however, is still scheduled to be released this year. BETA, of course, is not the official release, but is a test version that the community will have access to.

I really think Chucklefish needs a clear spot on the front webspace for dates.

Beta date: Estimated 2013
Full Release: Sometime in 2014

It would -really- help I think settle the repeat questions, along with a edit to the OP page to clarify what the strikeout means.

(It wont help with people being concerned about beta but really, even when trying to clear things up with the edit: They are leaving people confused here.)
