Clicking on the firelance crashes the game with this error code:

Edit: So I did all the fixes you did, and my new avali was able to start and play normally. Going to check the firelance next.

This Firelance is giving me troubles. I can't seem to find any game breaking things within the .gun file. I even tried to match it up with the bow.gun file. This error: Error: Exception caught in client main-loop: (StoredFunctionException) Error parsing StoredFunction descriptor. I don't know where to look.

 

Im not a modder but could it possibly be looping into another projectile weapon from core starbound? A negative code interaction of sorts?

 

Apologies for my silence, I've been neglecting Starbound somewhat recently.
That's not to say I'm dead, nor am I abandoning this mod.

@Devani If the Firelance is the only thing giving troubles currently, I'll push the current Github version as a new update after updating the Firelance's ingame description to tell players it's buggy.

 

Still having 2 strange issues myself:

For one, my character's invincible to conventional attacks from enemies, but not to fall or environmental damage.

For another, durasteel inserts aren't progressing the armor check missions.

 

Hovering over the Firelances description/icon causes the game to crash, so that wouldn't work we might have to remove them from the mod temporarily.

For the first one try to activate admin mode with /admin then turn it off. If that didn't work contact the person who said something earlier in the forums about being invincible, then please tell me the solution.

I'll look into the durasteel insert's questline in a bit.

 

That was me earlier, and it turns out I hadn't tested comprehensively enough the first time - I'd always taken damage from environmental hazards/falling.

The admin trick didn't work, and it only seems to affect this pre-existing character.

 

Maybe if we peek at the starbound.log?

It appears I am having an issue here with the latest update

EDIT: its not letting me post the error log for some reason, I am unsure why.

EDIT 2: Pretty much in the same boat as Suvaii below me. Something didn't work on the update unfortunately.

I am also only using Avali 1.6 and xBawks.

 

Getting a CTD and error when trying to play my Avali character. The error is: Fatal Exception caught: (StarException) Unknown quest condition type!

My mods are Avali 1.6, the xbawks mod for extra races, FrackinMusic, and FrackinUniverse. The crash only happens with my Avali, my Floran is able to play just fine.

 

I'm getting that same error too.

 

Can confirm with the two guys above, getting errorcode Fatal Exception Caught: (StarException) Unknown quest condition type!
IDK if you need a log or not, but if so, I can post one. In the meantime, Im gonna go play something else.
EDIT: Also, it is most definitely the Avali mod itself causing it, because I was using Avali 1.6, AAaA 0.6 (Augments), and the Frigate. After removing everything but my Simple Extender and Avali race, it still didn't work. Cheers!

 

Can those with the quest error post their starbound.log files? Preferably within code/spoiler tags.

Edit: Not likely to get a response from me, I'm heading to bed now. Unless the team manages to isolate and fix the issue by the time I wake up, I'll work on it as well.
