A new look at the Hylotl/Floran conflict: Do Hylotl eat Florans?

I think you're missing one vital point here.

Florians conquered the Hytol home world and now the Hytol hate them. Its all in the lore folks i suggest reading it.

It's "Florans". Also, really? Is it in the Floran books you find in their villages or is it in some sort of Hylotl village I haven't seen yet?

 

Man, Hylotl can barely muster up the balls necessary to eat BROCCOLI, let alone Florans. :/

It's the Chinese who eat shark fin soup. Japanese have their own unique food items, like sushi: raw fish & vegetables surrounded by rice, wrapped in a thin layer of dried seaweed. Don't suppose Hylotls will be eating sushi any time soon, but they might just wrap their non-fishy food in a thin layer of dried and processed Floran

 

Cannibalism is when a species eat it's own kind. Hylotl is not Floran and vice-versa. Also, I think that Florans may eat Hylotl.

 

Yeah, I used the word very loosely there.

 

I know plenty of vegetarians who don't really care about the whole eating-animals-thing and just simply don't like the taste of meat. The step to eating another sentient being seems to be fairly small.

 

Well florans don't ride giant plant eating fish.

 

Even if we Hylotl ate florans, which we TOTALLY don't, there wouldn't be any conflict with our vegetarian ways.

You see, we simply don't eat anything that can think for itself... you know, with a brain and all that...

But the florans seem pretty unorganised. Not every person might know of the crimes against their specie.
