Can, umm, my character die of old age? I like the concept, but after a while it has to stop somewhere, right?

 

I love the new main menu, but... Where did the space penguin go?

Did any one else see the title page and had thought this was a beta post?

 

Wait for that glitch that makes your character 99999999999999 years old. You would be older than the universe.

 

I think they mean the "age" as in how many days and hours your character has been created, rather than an actual aging process.

 

Don't tell me, i almost fainted.

 

i would like to see both overall playtime and playtime since last death to be tracked.

I think Tiy's outfit should be endgame human armor

IT is very neat and cool , but there is clouds over the ozone layer and in space lol

 

It would be really cool if there was a way to show of one's playtime since the last death. It could either be a title (the longer you've survived the better the title and upon death it drops back to zero) or rank symbol.

Come to think of it.... how cool would it be if the game monitors a characters behavior:
1) time spent on building things
2) blocks destroyed
3) animals killed
4) number of deaths
5) mean playtime until death
6) ore gathered
7) number of planets visited
8) space miles traveled
9) objects crafted
10) PvP kills
etc, etc, etc...

and based on this it determines the profile for the player and comes up with a suffix for your characters nickname. After having played until a certain "age" the game looks at your statistics and determines an appropriate suffix:
<NAME> the Destroyer
<NAME> the Explorer
<NAME> the Careful
<NAME> the Unlucky
<NAME> the Butcher
<NAME> the Architect
<NAME> the Survivalist

So depending on your style of playing you get named after it. Would love that

That said, nice menu. The placement of them on the left seems kind of strange with so much empty space.. but not bad.

 

The main menu looks cool, but I personally think it feels a little empty. I know it's still early on and you might have plans to add more features/art to it, but I think it would look better if the buttons were a little bigger.

 

It's only me or the Starbound Logo sort of doesn't fit into the game?
Why not the same pixel style?

And indeed the main menu is great but it's a bit empty, even with the animated background, hmm

 

Wait... Character Age? So, if we just started playing, we start as a 1 year old? I'm confused
