I have to say that mockup looks pretty good. That being said. Will the oceans on some planets be that deep in the actual game?
Thanks for the update. If all the dungeons/village are that awesome... ... ... I don't fond words to describe how exciting it will be! Good job!
I might as well detail what's mock and what's not. Again, this is a MOCK if you missed it. Basically I threw in some tiles into the game, built up the basic building. Then threw in some objects into the game and placed them. Threw in some lights. Blablabla. So it's somewhat real. It was faster to just throw a screenshot in Photoshop and then throw some of the objects not in the game yet over the screenshot. But that barely matters as MOST of these objects will be easy to put into the game. I just didn't yet to save time on the mockup. There are basically two functions in this mockup that are not in game yet. Being able to "fullbright" mask certain aspects so they always appear bright is almost in the game. Meaning like the Arcade Machine screens not getting darker due to the lack of light. Then the Neon tiles are also not in the game atm. We do not have tiles coded so they can produce light yet. Then there's the whole issue with how airlocks will function so you can swim in somewhere without flooding the place. We haven't decided yet but have many thoughts on it. And if you're worried about people just going into a city like this and breaking all the walls and causing havoc... hopefully we'll have some countermeasures that would... make that harder to get away with.
I just want to watch MOLE MAN so bad. [night, a dead-end alley, thin steady drizzle] : Looks like I finally caught you, sweetheart! (shadowy figure): ... : Nowhere to run. Now unless you want me to shoot you with this gun that I have, you're going to tell me who you are, why you've been spying on me, and everything you know about MOLE MAN. (shadowy figure steps into the light, revealed as a redhead with sunglasses): I am MOLE MAN. : [gasps] MOLE MAN: [smirks]
Well, the arcade room is going in my ship, the snack room is going in my ship, and that globe is going in my ship... if it can fit...
Underwater tokyo? I can dig it. Are we still going to see pagodas elsewhere? I'm sure this will be addressed, but the water looks a bit...empty
Pretty damn sweet. Hopefully we can make our own, underwater city building was always my favorite part of minecraft. Hells yeah.
Oh wow... reminiscent of Rapture! Looks like they have also replaced Big Daddies with MoleMans *shudders* Thanks for the update GeorgeV! I really appreciate the constant updates and sneak-peaks, even thought I understand that the process of coding are not really meant for dailies! Keep staying awesome, Team Chucklefish!
You don't know how much I would love living in the presence of the dangers of underwater pressure. If there's some way to make the water pressure something related to gameplay and survival, that would be amazing. If you had to go through pressure rooms and air-locks with pressure suits, that would be astounding.
