Used to be? You mean another scarf besides winterscarfhead from items/armors/decorative/clothes/scarf?
I've been looking for a non cheaty way to get it in game, but no vendors sell it, no chests hold it, and it can't be crafted. It used to be a rare drop in tier 3 planets and above if I remember correctly. If you know how to get this, I will be oh so happy.
Yey! Is this the beginning of a proper storyline? Or more outpost characters who don't just send you on fetch quests?

So you have a tiny chance of getting a costume, then a very tiny chance of getting the scarf. Just gotta keep opening every chest. Or if you want to spawn one, you can type /admin, put your cursor over yourself, type /spawnitem winterscarfhead, then /admin again.
That looks nice. I wonder if there could be actual dialogs with those guys. Not just quest dialogs or chat balloons, but the more classic RPG bottom dialog with a portrait.
Please tell us all about the upcoming progression paths.....especially the builder progression path. its tile sets and player built space stations......and maybe through a miracle you guys will realize just what a bad idea the current ships are and will implement a way for us to build our own ships so that every player can experience the joy of building their own super awesome ship.
Great work on the concept sketches, I'm really excited about the addition of characters and a storyline to Starbound , though I do notice that the majority of the characters are female. Just an observation, the novakid and glitch characters may or may not even it out. I'm greatly looking forward to a Novakid character sketch.[DOUBLEPOST=1427750365][/DOUBLEPOST] Well, custom character ships would eliminate much of the race-specific designs- I think that the character should start with a race specific ship, and NPCs should, naturally, have race specific ships, but the player should have the option to buy a new ship or new ships at some point. Character bought ships should probably come when the character has upgraded their own ship a couple times, and should likewise be pretty expensive in pixels and resources.
Perhaps it's the Warcraft lore nerd in me, but why do I have a feeling the elderly explorer is the Brann Bronzebeard of this game?

Honestly, I think that Apex character could be better as a male, but the art conveys a pretty cool character, so I think it'll be fine whatever gender it is.
