Its a play off a Japanese Meme and an old book which said Horse head masks are for anonymity. Similar to the Guy Fawkes mask. The most recent famous case of the Mask is An incident where a pornstar was arrested at a pirates game wearing a Unicorn mask Essentially if you read the Glitch Codex - it is about how "Out casts" have infiltrated the Glitch castle to spread anarchy. Similar to the times of Guy fawkes fighting against the government. === Option 2 is of course Chess where Horse = Knight = medieval = boring. [Plus then I can't show a picture of a pornstar wearing a horse head mask ] === Just to add - the whole concept of the Avians and the Red Stone Probably related to the Eurasian Magpie where French and Italian folk lore talk about how they like to steal shiny things - in most cases precious stones. This is a recurring theme in many shows \ cartoons \ anime, where birds steal precious metals and stones to bring to their nest. [ Dragons treasure anyone ] The Europeans were the ones who Romanticized stories of knights fighting dragons in lairs filled with treasure. The Japanese Anime usually had more in relation to birds stealing them though.
I like to think of the steed as a part of a chess game. If the glitches ship looks like a tower, right next to the tower is the steed. And I admit, with that angry crystal there, I will never again touch an avian!
I can see the floran ai practically asking the player to strap a knife to the ship so it can stab stuff in space.
All are neat so far. Not much else to say. Though I wonder what Ryuujin will do for the Avali AI, if he decides to?
Uuugh, really? We're sticking with that silly horse A.I.? I mean, I get that there is apparently some appeal, but unlike all the other A.I.s that are pretty neutral looking, that one is pretty weird and clearly doesnt appeal to a lot of people... I haven't played as Glitch and probably won't if I'll have to interact with that...
I play a Glitch, and I like the A.I., but I can definitely see why some people wouldn't. Also, just a thought, but what if the horse A.I. were to be used for the Novakid instead? Not only do horses have equal significance to cowboys as they do to knights, but the A.I. would seem to fit their personality much better!
Well sort of. Japan didn't start it. It just made it famous. For example "Thug" which attribute to American gang members. Was originally the name of a Criminal Tribe in India called Thuggee. The Lonely Planet Guide to Experimental Travel - is one of the early known associations horse mask with anonymity and travel. Though there is probably something before that, we just aren't aware about.
This one time I'm going to have to dissent. The Horse AI is creepy, and the boobs don't help. And to the people saying "Well ships are female blahblahblah" none of the other AI are female. Shouldn't the Glitch's AI literally be a Glitch? I mean it seems a bit redundant to create a whole new AI when a Glitch is one. The Glitch AI could be a Glitch that was damaged in battle, sort of like the Dreadnoughts in WH40K, repurposed to pilot the ship.
Ah, poo to all you neigh-sayers, that vuluptious equine beauty is fantastic, hooves down! (I know I'm biased... hell, I even have one of those horse masks, and a pigeon one too, at home. plus, I draw/sculpt anarmoprphic creatures all the time. Still... it IS fabulous. Let your freak flag fly )
Sure sure, the horse is "funny" and it "makes sense". But trust me, that's not what I want to be looking at whenever I want to use anything in my ship. But hey, you listen to the people on Reddit, so of course the memes will reign supreme.
