A project of this size? You can expect "bug fixes" to be the daily post for weeks, if not months. Bug fixing on something of this scale is not a job you can knock out in an afternoon.
Yeah, you're right, now i feel they can release this as an early beta, but I think most people think the beta is just a "You get to play the game early!" ticket, and large amounts of rage will ensure, "This game is too buggy!" And they will be really ignorant as to how beta-testing works.
Now, how neat would it be to become a guard for a village? Possibly gain the trust of the inhabitants and become their guardian? I think that would be pretty cool, and it would open up a lot of role-playing possibilities. I'm not sure how it would work, but it would be cool none the less. Maybe a punch-in punch-out system like a real job?
If they're adding alcohol consumption in the game, then they might as well add breast physics in also.

Maybe a quest where you could help the cultists invoke a giant badass criature or kill them, but if you failed, you would need to kill the cultists AND the badass creature! And the reward could be a cultist's robe!
