I'm fine with the intensity of the color, but the colors of the mountains and trees in the background don't match. I think it looks really weird like that.
I don't care how long it takes for the game to come out. In fact, the longer it takes the more time I have to figure out how to preorder the game!
Even though its only gonna be beta, everyone is so anxious for it and I, myself, can't wait either! Definitely going to enjoy the game as slowly as possible. The scenic views and the awesomeness of the game! Good work again, Chucklefish
You know what would be cool? A Mechanic Bow. Shoots with better accuracy and speed ----- Can't wait for beta!
Bows, in a sci-fi game? I don't know how I feel about this. Unless arrows have tactile value with regards to killing animals.
Yeah, the lighting doesn't match yet because I haven't integrated it with the sky (which also controls the hue shift and multiply of the parallax.) Sky has some weird parts in it that I wanted to get taken care of, like the Sun as a for instance, is really weird and quite hard coded. It's pretty much a placeholder at this point.
any star systems with 2 stars? what color does a 2 star solar system make if the stars are different color?
I think this new lighting should be optional. It may be hard to tell the difference between materials if they are all in red lol
Different races playing Starbound: Must obey the big ape. If I don't move they won't see me. brglgrglgrrr. May the beta be with you. Brains! I shall claim this world. Over my dead body! This is STARBOUND! I'm on the forum title YEAY! Where are the coins and the ghosts? It's just a copy of terraria. Ssssssssssss.
I like the idea of different lighting, but can you actually see the stars in the background? Does the light have real light properties, like red light easily getting absorbed by liquids? Will there be sun flares, which are common on red dwarfs, that you could experience on the surface of the planet?
Toned down?! If anything "extreme" should be a possibility. That red sun reminds me of that one Stargate sg-1 episode where they accidentally turned a sun red and on the planet it was... well red! Also the blue and red suns in the movie pitch black! Different color suns adds to the "Wow... I'm REALLY far from home." feel. Think about how extreme light may be on planets close to suns of varying colors. I'm not saying we have to be blinded, what I'm saying is I want to live next to a disco ball of a sun in the Rave galaxy!
