Heh I love Tyrian 2000. It's one of the Good Old Games Hell when I found out that AI War: Fleet Command was actually using sprites from it I was very happy
As much as I've looooved everything so far, the eye trees look like something EA rejected for Spore. Spore was a terrible game.

I'm not keen on the eyeball + brain trees, but I do think it's very creative how they have explored all possibilities. Like who's to say there isn't a planet out their populated dominantly by gigantic sentient brain trees?
if their was only a way to explain with words, on how totally rad this game is going to be. especially with a radical dev team.
Maybe there is a portal in the ocean just a square to the right/left[depending on which side of the world you are on] of where the screen ends in the ocean in Terraria that leads to the eyeball world
