I hate it when people use that argument, It makes no sense xP. Anyways, I don't need freshness. I need a new game like Unreal Tournament ans Quake that's better and adds some new stuff, sadly that'll probably not happen ''"I think we’re getting to the point now that hardware is starting not to matter anymore.'' I think it's not that. I think it's the fact that because of consoles, it's taking a lot longer to get better hardware. Compared to how fast graphics progressed back in the day it's pretty slow now because we've had an 8 year old console cycle that needed to be compatible with the games as well...
Ok here is a suggestion, beta! Let the up votes begin!! =) Probably might want to wait a bit until ncps get clothes.
I actually find that graphics are beginning to play less and less of a deciding factor in whether or not i'll play a game as I get older. Sure, I can still be wow'd by something pretty (Elder Scrolls Online), but gameplay and features take top priority nowadays. My last console was actually a Sega Saturn (Guardian Heroes!), so I can't much speak to the state of consoles these days. ...I hear they connect to the internet though.
I agree that game play is more important that graphics. A couple of years ago I brought a game which visually looked great, but two hours into playing it, I was disappointed. I put it the side and never played it since, and the money I spent was wasted. The games I spend the most time playing are not considered the best graphic-wise, but gameplay is broad and evolving.
Bart most just work part-time on contract doing the core C++ things because I've seen all of what he's done lately. He is the Dutch version of my brother. (or Swedish whatever)
She probably enjoys it to the point where she gets up in the morning and struts around the house making breakfast before getting to work on Starbound in only flipflops and glasses. We need this. Trees that attack you if you try to cut them down.
