At first I was a little skeptical about the balance issues, but they seem to have been resolved by now. Great mod. Adds protection against things that shouldn't matter in the Starbound mid-late game.

the balanced version is perfect for the 'late game'. the speed and jump boosts feel great, but not too strong. ironically i felt that the most balanced aspect of the emblems in the OP version was the energy pool and the regens. but i'm not docking points for that: after all, the modder did leave a tutorial on how to modify this, which i helped myself to and tweaked it to my liking, and the OP version is still there if you want to leap and speedrun like some sort of TAS

ironic... the stupidly broken back item mod feels more balanced in the end... that said, i do agree that a more balanced version would be welcome... though it's OP status would be welcome to those stuck with tier 6 gear on mods that add in tier 7-10 worlds to the mix. just a thought to have linger in your head~

Thank you very much for your review. I am actually working on a much balanced version, and should be uploaded soon. If people still prefer the overpowered items, that option shall still be available to them as well.

I like this mod, the design and all, but the buffs are way too damn overpowered. I'm not sure if the comics have the characters this overpowered, but damn. However, I do recommend that the emblems are separated by different buffs with the higher tier ores, and Claudio's Emblem would have all the buffs combined with a slightly higher stats than all the other emblems, if it doesn't interfere with the lore of the comic. Also apologies for the long review.

      Author's Response
Indeed, I agree that the buffs are way too overpowered. I originally had static values for the buffs (and they were separated [for example, Cambria's original Emblem had just the glow effect in the beginning]). However, I came to like the idea of all the Emblems sharing the same buff effects, but with scaling values. I realize that a lot of people probably wouldn't like these as powerful as they are, so that's why I made a detailed mod customization guide, where people could adjust the values to their own liking.

Maybe I could eventually make balanced versions of these items in a separate folder, as well as including the overpowered versions as they are now, so people could choose what they prefer.

At any rate, I too apologize for the long reply. Thank you very much for your review!

Definitely one of my most favorite mods, because exploring the universe with the Keywork on my back is awesome. <3 The emblems give great perks, and have been a huge help while exploring.

I can't get over how nice they all look, too; any chance we might be able to get decoration versions to put on walls in the future? I'd hang these all over my base if I could.

It is quite a honor to see that you feel that way, sir/miss. I'm definitely glad to hear that you find the items quite useful, thank you!

Furniture items are definitely a possibility for the future, but I can't promise anything, sorry about that. But hey, you never know. :)

Thank you so much for your review!

Really interesting idea! Nice scaling on the reuired materials for each Keywork symbol, really well put together, though i would have loved some Amory Wars costumes as well!

Great to see a unique Comic book mod, Claudio would approve.

Always awesome to encounter another Heed Head! I have vanity armors (costumes) planned down the line. While they may not 100% fit in with the story, they'll be themed enough to the point where they will match the Emblems. I am also thinking about making and releasing themed weapons too, but that might wait a while if I decide to go for it. At any rate, thank you very much for your review!

nice mod )) but with your customisation guide i cant find strings, to improve lightning around character. what, if i want to light all around me? all blocks around me, all my screen? where are the parameters?
    1. Vith
      Author's Response
Thank you very much for your review. I have borrowed the current Glow effect from the vanilla Glow effect, so that there are no actual parameters to currently edit to make the glow effect stronger (unless you make all the current color values to "255", "255", "255" [pure white]), which Claudio's Emblem already does. I suppose I could work on adding extra parameters for even more light (such as "pointBeam"), which I'll probably add to the next version. Cheers!

Thank you kindly. If you want to get into modding, the first most important step is to come up with an idea with what you'd want. After that, you can see if anybody else has a mod uploaded that's similar, and go through the code a but to see how it works. Beyond that, there's a great section on the forums dedicated to mod help, as well as the IRC. Good luck!

This is an amazing mod idea, Not only does it give back slotted items a usefulness but it also adds in more uses for the Core Fragment. Thanks for making me have a reason to collect them, Such a waste having them all over the core of just about every planet yet only have need to collect so few of them.
