I wanna think that the forward pointing face of the square would follow the bill of the cap, is that right?

actually i had plans to have the hat on the side because i known people would think that, but that short of killed the illusion

I will give one more clue what there is something missing here that have been on the picture of all my ohter avatars with a lit cigar.

fine i just say it the cigar was behind the box because the box is transparent and the hint was that there was no smoke from the cigar because it was behind the hat. i'm awful at making puzzles and giving out hints
