Hm, did you play Company Of Heroes per chance ?

That's very similar to DOW1, tho DOW2 is somewhat different, it also depends on single or multiplayer, I'll gladly elaborate if I know what you seek for.

I've seen company of heroes, very cool game and I was always a big fan of the strategy games, like Age of Empires and things like that.

Dawn of War 1, and Company of Heroes 1/2 are pretty much the same principle. Build base + capture points, hold territory, get resources for your performance.

DOW2 tunes down the base building part, and puts more focus on units and your hero squads.

You could say, in the singleplayer, DOW2 is slightly similar to games like LoL in that way - you control a dedicated squad of heroes on certain missions / goals.

In the multiplayer, it has limited base-building, while the mechanics stay the same. So it is backed up by additional units and upgrades.

Sound spretty cool.

*shrugs* It's still here if you want it :P I have no idea why/when Steam gave it to me, so I also dunno if it has an expiration date (doesnt show any) but if you want it, you can have it.
