What did you name your NPC?

What did you name your NPC? I went with "The Other Herdo", hoping someone might see him/her/it and let me know.

 

I named mine Olivier Shacklesworth Rustie

 

Really, it's going to fall into one of four categories nine times out of ten:

1: Reference
2: Bad Pun (possible attempts to slip things under the radar)
3: Self-insertion
4: Original Characters from other places (D&D, etc)

I named mine Terrin Starspirit, which is a mix of 3 and 4.

You're so right about this. Why else would anyone want to be able to add a name? I think it's awesome that my contribution to Starbound will manifest somewhere in-game.

Until such time as I think of a better thing I just set it to 'Segolia'

This makes me wonder though, what happens if several people have chosen the same NPC name to go into the pool? I would guess the system allows overlap (i.e no "someone has already added this name, please choose another")

Just came up with best name: Ciaphas Cain.

 

I'm probably going to name it "Stan the Guide" when I preorder, which will probably be in a couple weeks. Stan is what me and my friend called out Guide in put Terraria world. This was before NPC's actually had names.
