Closed Starbound wont launch win7

So i bought the game a few days after it came out trough steam.
I press play and the launcher pops up but when i try to launch the game itself nothing happens.
This went on for a while, i tried a few things people had suggested and eventually it lauched.
I played around an hour or so and tried to save and quit and the game crashed and wouldnt launch again.
I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling but it didnt work, i tried everything i tried last time but nothing.
I havent gotten it to launch the game since that and i honestly dont know what to do now.

 

Same here nothing happens when I press launch Starbound.

 

If nothing at all happens when you launch, or you hear a Ding in the background, uninstall/Backup Starbound, create a new Steam library (Steam > Settings > Downloads) *located somewhere outside of Program Files, such as c:\SteamLibrary or q:\Steamlibrary *, then install/Restore Starbound to the new Steam library.

 

Try starting steam as admin it worked for me!

Negative. Its still not working
... but thank you so much for the time to try to help me, i really appreciate it! maybe theyr'll fix it in the next patch... idc if it wipes my character, at least ill be able to play what i payed for at least.... assuming, they dont KEEP wiping for everyth update they do. lol

 

What's the full path to your starbound.exe now?

thats all i got, since I searched for it, where should it be?

 

In Steam, right-click Starbound, Properties, Local Files, Browse...

 

C: drive, steam library > steamApps > common > starbound > win32

 

What EXACTLY does it do when you click "Play Starbound" in the Launcher?
