Outdated Avali Race Mod 0.12.4

Heh for the biggest time, I couldn't figure out how to manufacture the meaty chunks for jerky and tacos...

What can I say? Renaku didn't learn the basics of avali cuisine before she lost the rest of her pack.

And that's why I've generally stayed away from Floran villages.

It was lower priority given that in character, avali shouldn't even be swimming

Just get some nice shiny synthetic ones installed afterwards. Plus that'll make you less appetising to the Munari

 

Out of all the custom races, I like the Avali, Peglaci, and Munari the most. They just seem to be the most original out of all the things I've seen. My only beef with the Munari is how you need a bunch of different crops and specific organ parts to get the exact kind of food. Granted, I use the vending machine mod, so crops are no issue at all.

 

Afterward? I think I'd rather do that now then. Less chance of dying.

 

Have you read the Avali wiki? Many Avali (especially soldiers and deep space explorers) do that exact same thing, replacing limbs and organs with synthetic equipment; in some extreme cases, only the brain is left, so even when a good deal of the body is destroyed they can just wait to be rescued and transferred to a new body. It's less troublesome to lose an artificial limb than a real one!

 

Well the animation is shared with the grappling hook ascend animation.

 

And that wait isn't very long if there are any servicable drones on hand to come by with a spatula and scrape them off the floor

That and the fact swimming in liquid water is like swimming in boiling acid for them.

 

What about liquid Methane? or liquid Ammonia?

Liquid methane is way too cold even for them. They freeze solid in it - liquid ammonia though would be perfectly safe. Though the only planets we've seen that seem THAT cold would be the snowy icelands in VitSoU or tundra in vanilla (Even then those worlds have breathable atmospheres which rules out liquid ammonia), which are a pretty good analogue to their homeworld

 

I have be searching for 2 hours already. I haven't found a single avali village or anything. Anyone know where any villages are?

 

Yeah, after reading the lore I realized they shouldn't be able to swim either. Do you think it's possible to mod in some kind of damage when submerged in water? Maybe reducing maxBreath to zero (or 1, to prevent problems) could simulate this... but then using a survival backpack would still negate this problem.
