Here are a couple of things that I feel would suit the game well. 1. Industrialization. Since there will be multiple worlds at our disposal, why not make the ability to add Factories to our planets There could be a continual flow of money. For example Level 1 Factory = 2 Gold Per hour play time, Level 5 Factory = 15 Gold Per hour. 2. Outer-Space battles. Since we can make airships wouldnt it be cool if there were like Space Pirates in outerspace that we would have to battle occasionally? In multiplayer it would be interesting if we could fight other players in space ships. 3. Weapon Mods. The Introduction to Burst Fire mode or Rapid Fire on Range Weapons could be interesting, On meelee weapons mods that could add Stuns or Ignite a target on fire could add alot of customization. 4. Paint Brush. This could be used to paint a certain block a specific Color not too many colors maybe just the basic ones? This could make Creations look better. Thats all I can think of right now, feel free to disagree or add suggestions!
I'd quite like to see ranged weapons with a stun function. Yes, I know I'm essentially asking for a phaser. No, I don't care that it's trite.
The Factory idea seems like it could work. but rather than just getting it you would need to make a visit to it.
maybe, instead of painting actual blocks, just paint with a 4x4 pixel brush to draw different colors on the same block. other then that, complete support.

On the space battles it should generate a temporary map that is both your spaceship and your enemys. Both ships would be composed of blocks. Then you and the pirates could and fight it out and blow holes in each others pressurized ships. Good thing you purchased that ship armor... you did buy it, right?
I like all of your ideas and I think the better is the outerspace battle. It will be awesome if you can place NPC in control of, exemple, turrets or orders, while you are trying to make a way to the enemies' engine room. Or if you can be yourself in the turrets or the command room with your friends. It can be very cool.
If space battles were added, I'd love to be able to either destroy the ship or board it, kill everyone on board, then salvage it. (I can thank my addiction to FTL for the idea)
Maybe if their are space battles and factories then if you leave a factory unnattended for to long the pirates could set up a blockade composed of two parts 1. space fight (you fight them in space...duh.) 2.land grab(you slowly make your way through the facility taking down all the pirates and turning on the defences for each room until making it to te control pnel in the command room turning on system power makng the factory work again and exteirior defences turn on making the pirates run away (cause your a badass)
The factory could be overpowered... Maybe it would be a good idea to make it spew out Hazardous waste that mutates the natural monsters? Also to go on with the factory idea to get money a quarry to get resources? Also instead of making them stronger in all attributes it could increase attack and movement speed but decrease it attack speed Example: Example creature 35 hp 35 hp 5 dmg 12 dmg 1 attack/sec 30/Min or 1 every 2 seconds fast movement very fast movement (you can add it in your post if you want to)
I like these ideas 1. Definitely feels like micro/tycoon like thing. Really nice, but has to be harder to construct/ obtain the materials needed. Like what Daitenshi said. 2. Epic, space battles will be the bomb, especially against real players. IMAGINE, having part of your hull blasted off, then space pirates with jetpacks BOARD YOUR SHIP. (If space ships are actually going to be built like this) Really want this. 3. Essential, can't say anything else. 4. Good idea, rather than crafting the blocks with something like pain to produce "[color] blocks" could increase efficiency and it would consume less time. Overall great post!
1. That would depend on the material cost and other gains/costs. Would you be required to continuously supply the factory with resources, or at least put a system in place that does it for you? How long until a planet runs out of resources? Are you limited in the number of factories? 2) 3. already confirmed numerous times, and discussed in countless threads. 4. Also already discussed a ton of times, a good idea nonetheless.
If there are 'spawners' of any sort that you can put on your chosen planet then you can make a factory. 2-4 confirmed.
