Does this mean we will finally be able to know what color undies we will have BEFORE we finalize the character. I will no longer have to get naked to know the color of my bunched-up panties. [/sarcasm] Seriously though, thanks, these changes sound awesome.
Yay for Kawa, focusing on the important parts of gameplay! (pantsu) Thanks for the update, and I'm incredibly intrigued by "Apex inhabited worlds". My hype machine says this might mean that we don't get Apex villages right next to Human dungeons, hopefully the worlds start to have themes!
Huh. Sounds like you guys are hunkering down there. Even with most of you under the same roof it's hard to keep track of everyone else's work it seems. Also good going @Kawa
Hooray! Now we can know what color underwear our human friends are wearing! Now the decorative modesty rug will match the drapes so that the Feng Shui is not upset by potentially unmatched carpets! (Human decoration rules are so very confusing)
We have lots of server technical debt, and it's difficult for us to take some time off to fix the issues we're running into. Specifically, for the newspaper, we have a lot of problems with this plugin automatically getting sent to people's spam filters, which will require a plugin update or migration, which will require jumping through hoops because we have lots of problems stemming from a root cause of a poorly planned load balancing system (which is why avatars and mod uploading is all jacked up.) It's hard for us to justify taking time off to fix issues with the server, and it's similarly difficult to justify taking time off to interview people to maintain the website, in part due to previous drama surrounding exactly this sort of thing. So instead we've been just putting it off for a while. We're looking at getting someone to be our server lackey eventually. Just in the short term, we're really concentrating on actually doing the game, so much of this sort of thing is falling by the wayside.
Cry hark! My eyes! My forum! My newsletter! But not my game! It's good to see you code monkeys burning the midnight oil, but make sure you guys are getting up from your seats like once an hour, I hear rooting to the seat all day is bad for your butts (all butts, actually!). Also, I'm interested in @Kawa elaborating on her spiffy code that got put in (unless I missed it)!
