The pokeball was created to be one of the smilies.

 

It seems as if you have saved the charizard in the wrong format or something, the pixels are all distorted ^^
And try to make the pokeball a bit more spherical, but overall it's good for a beginner!

 

It was originally a BMP file then converted into JPEG using Paint. The picture was made from scratch using Paint so I don't really see what I did wrong. Do you know how to fix this problem?

Oh right I see. Well I already saved my Poliwag as a JPEG but can it still be saved?

Also it's a tad bit small.

You have to recolor it, but I'll do it for you cause I'm such a good guy!

Also you should download the free edition of "graphics gale". it's a spriting software learn it!

Oh nice! You're getting better man! Now try to make the "brighter" part of the outline a little bit brighter and switch the black outline with the darkblue. I think it'll look better

AWESOME, looks great!! I want to teach you how to make colors transparent in Graphics Gale (if you're still using that).

Transparency?

 

Here I made the white transparent. And now we see that some of the outlines kinda clashes with the background color of this forumskin. We'll have to do something about that, (also the white eyes and teeth got transparent so we'll have to use a color with 99% brightness)

So there, I also changed the saturation on some of the colors. Yours were so strong, if you get my drift!

 

Oh I understand. So no white background?

 

I mean, you can use whatever you like. I prefer my own sprites to be transparent most times, but it totally depends on how they blend in. If you prefer a white, blue, red or yellow BG, that's entirely up to you!

 

Tried the transparent thing with this Electrode. Clearly I'm doing something wrong. The background and the white of the Electrode is a different colour and I *attempted* to make the background transparent but as we can see in Exhibit A, I failed.
