Zombies?

I just don't really like the idea of zombies in games like Terraria and Starbound because there's so much room to make something better than that

There are tentacles. And Eyeballs. But no zombies. At least none that we know of. We'll have to wait till beta/release to know for sure. Also There is non-zero chance that the game will generate zombie-like monsters on some planet or other

Seriously though guys, i see nothing wrong with zombies. Of course they are over used because they are deeply ingrained into our culture and in shared human fears.

 

Or because they require little imagination to use?

 

Don't take my word for anything, I'm not a dev, it's just my speculation

 

it's not like the po requires more brainpower
you take an object and slap a face on it
its even worse if it involves toilets

 

And next, let's go ahead and complain to Chucklefish about that Hylotl tech that makes them fart a bubble to jump further.

 

Why do people hate the Po so much? It's not even that bad considering it's probably going to be in the dungeon that is a sewer system.

 

Snakes and xenophobia are also deeply ingrained in human fears, i see no one complaining about them as enemies in games. I want to see an enemy based on some crazy fears... like Trypophobia. A fear of Holes. =)

 

Then please, sir, point me in the direction of several games based entirely about the snake apocalypse.

to be honest zombies are kinda overused but if there were zombies i hope it would be from a artifact on a dead planet the zombies being the alien life that once lived there i'm kinda sick of human zombies especially necromophs.

 

Ewww please no ;_; I'm not Trypophobic, but... gosh that stuff is revolting on a purely biological level.
