Zombies?

Any confirmed zombs yet?

Whether yes, no or idk do you like the idea of a:

Zombie apocalypse planet?

A potential to contract the Zombie disease/virus or whatever?

Both

Will probably never be added except for as a mod?

Or the idea sucks and is over used

Undead Rise-From-The-Grave Zombies? Yes.
Virus Zombies? No.

I hate "plague zombies". Overused and really boring.

 

There's enough zombie apocalypse games on Steam, and 95% of them suck. We don't need Starbound to go down that road.

 

Basically. I'm so tired of seeing zombies. They're overused, and most of the games that have them suck beyond belief. Just no. I really don't want Starbound to have that.

 

Honestly I feel like the idea is so overused
The last game with zombies I actually enjoyed was probably The Last of Us but eh the zombie franchise is so old it's hard to see something that hasn't been done before.
Honestly if there were zombies (Not saying I really want them..) I'd like it to be Metal Slug or dead space-esque.
Some sort of strange artifact transforming everything around it into zombies.

Eh I don't know. If they are in the game, cool. If not, also cool. With the procedurally generated monsters who knows if we'll actually see them or not. The devs seem to have a pretty good feel on the pulse of what we're all expecting the game to have and what we're not looking for.

 

Zombies...negative. I would love to see some mobs based on the necromorphs from Dead Space though, that would be awesome. I feel like Starbound needs some seriously scary/gory stuff so that it doesn't fall in the cute category of games.

 

I agree, while travelling the galaxy we'd be sure to come across some real scary characters

But ill like to see some kind of parasit that controls the mind of the host, and you cant find them on abandoned ships.

Besides why... why zombies? Why should there be zombies if you can be more creative and come up with something better?
As sad as this might sound zombies are overdone imho.

 

As long as we don't get Terraria's "Oh no the moon is rising time for ZOMBIES" stuff, then I'm okay with it.

You think there won't be a zombie mod? Or an adventure map fashioned after some kind of zombie apocalypse? Think of the community...It's gonna happen...

 

I would not be suprised at all if zombies are in the game.

 

Not sure about zombies, but I would definitely like to see an event that has an apocalyptic feel to it. (Besides the intro, of course )

I'm tired of zombies! They are in every game: Call of Duty 1, 2 ,3 ,4 ,5 ,6 ,7... (You get it...(I don't like Call of Duty)), even Star Wars. Yesterday I was watching Space and all the movies were about zombies. No more... please...

 

Something better? Oh, right, I know! Sentient mounds of poop, will that work fine for you?

 

Anything is better than brainless zombies imho and I actually like The Po ;P

 

At least the Pos are rather original. I've never seen a game with some... excrement that tries to kill you.
