Ruined planets infested with zombies (Always night) , Yeah!, love that idea. Take a look on Terraria, Frost Moon/Legion, Zombie/Goblin Army, Solar Eclipse, Pirate Invasion, there´s a lot of them. I´m so sure they´re gonna add some os this stuff on the future.
No more zombies please. I like zombies but they are everywhere, in every game, in every film, in TV. It's enough.
I'd like either, but don't think it should always be night in either case. Maybe SOMETIMES it's always night on some zombie planets, more variety FTW
Looking in the files I did come across a zombie for the tombs... I can't remember the exact location of it, but I remember going, "Oh please, noo... they are so over done." Though it just being for a dungeon mob would be fine I feel, but not a whole world thing... I mean come on... they are in everything. This game is already being called a Terraria clone and you want it to become even more of one by adding hoards of zombies? Where's originality? That's what I've been liking about it so far, all unique creatures for hostiles, no cliched old move/book/game monsters that have been in everything so far...
Zombies is where it is at! =) ... I absolutely want to see a zombie planet (post-apocalyptic planet). Although by a logical standpoint, a Zombie Planet wouldn't be ALL THAT realistic, because by the time zombies have taken over and eaten everything, there is nothing left to sustain their bodies, and they would simply expire. ... Unless you are speaking 'undead' zombies rather than 'viral' zombies,... but then you are getting into supernatural garbage, and Starbound doesn't need that. lol
Good point but i could see planets that have had see sort of terrible disease break loose that causes..THINGS..to happen. Seems in a game about the infiniteness of space there is in fact a possibility of some strange disease (ike a "zombie" disease) or creatures like that of the flood from halo.
Hi all, came across this thread and thought wow love it. Was wondering if they would put a few missions that deal with this type of thing. Idea: Rescue mission: Player gets a distress call or mission to rescue a bunch of survivors (1-5 Easy/1-10 Medium/ 1-20 Hard) Location: Ruined World with a Science Lab / Bunker / ect Mobs: Zombies (generic) ALL, Zombies (special) M, Boss Zombie (H) Mechanics: Planet Mechanics, NPCs have Follow or Stay command. Mission Success: Success only if all the survivors are rescued.
Arent the pink things on the Erchius mission a type of zombie? If i recall correctly, the Erchius horror consumed the human miners and spat them back out as a mutated thingy
Have the zombies on Radioactive stars and on certain planets with normal zombies then you have to worry about the uncommon infected on it with quests as well about saving settlements or sweep and secure old worn down building like abandon hospitals and military bases and overrun building, etc.
U just forgot 'bout "supernatural" wand's update? Or ghost creature's? Or "unspeakable horror" on moon's? Military penguin's? Giant dragon skeleton boss? Weird leprechaun with rainbow gun that is also a gun? Undead zombies aren't making anything more suppernatural
I like the zombie idea! but why night time? They are sensitive to the sun? Zombies are not like that...(exept for Dying light and Minecraft and any other games who does that.)
Well we have something that is kinda like a zombie. The Orbide. Perhaps someone could make a mod that uses Orbides, or something like Orbides to make a zombie enemy.
mutated races that has the features of the orbide? now thats cool! hope that someone would make this!
I don't honestly like to say it but, zombies are in fact very old for me and way over done. And actually does it have to be zombies? We have a space game, lets make it something like psychotic mutants with guns or killer sentient robots(like psychotic glitch). Honestly does it even need to be a planet that specifically has that problem? Why not as an event? If it is tied to a planet though, make the planet very dangerous and give players a reason to go to them without resorting to power creep(that is new gear obsoleting the old stuff).
