YouTube Series

First and foremost, I apologize if this has already been suggested.​

So my idea is to have a Youtuber (like PBat, Slyfox, or the Yogscast) do a sort of "sneek peek" of Starbound when it's reached an acceptable stage of development. It'll be completely up for the Devs to decide, but we'll probably have some leverage. ​

Can I vote for more than one? I like the different styles and approaches the various Youtube "famous" types take to the games they play.

Off the top of my head, Yogscast and Totalbiscuit both do good stuff for Indie Devs, I also enjoy these guys:

I have to say Pedguin would do a great series. He's super obsessed with penguins and is an all around great Let's Play personality. I might be biased though, as he's covered some of my Terraria maps, and I'm a subscriber.

 

I'll go with TotalBiscuit. He should be able to present it properly...
I wouldn't do the Yogscast though, remember what they did with Terraria...

 

I think Totalbiscuit might be the best choice, as he usually takes a proper view at it

 

I think Jesse Cox at OMFGcata and TotalBiscuit should do a lets play together.

I think the devs should do a LP kind of like blue and Redigit with terraria. I also think those people played it early because they were beta-testers but this still needs to be done. I think Tobuscus should do a LP though.

I'm moving this over to the Videos section, because the Suggestions section is more for things that people actually want to see in the game. c:

 

this can fall here since you are SUGGESTING and asking a people what would they like to see.

 

The way I understand it, the Suggestions forum says "Suggest additions or changes to Starbound," in its description, which makes it sound like it would be things that would actually be going in the game, rather than stuff with the community.
And I feel that it would reach its target audience (people who are interested in videos) better in the Videos section.

You could always bring this up with another mod, and see how they feel about it. I just think it would do better here.

 

Hmmmm, personally I wouldn't want to watch a sneak peek series. Spoilers, bleh.

Although, if someone did a series post release, I'd flip if it were UberHaxorNova. (Maybe even a rage video on a level 100 planet if we're lucky :0 )

 

No, wait until the game is done and then let the youtubers show other people.

Otherwise it will ruin it for all of us.
