I know that monster taming isnt in yet, what sort of monster would you guys want as your
first tamed creature?

I would want one of those bloodspitting creeper birds! I would name it Tingle.

 

If I can find a bird that shoots lightning

 

I saw a bird that shot lighting in a vid somewhere, so it shouldn't be that hard

All you have to do is on the options screen, go to the video settings and push left on that unfinished slider until you see a truck for a split second. Hold up and left right then!
Now start the game normal and beam down to the planet you start at without doing anything else. This is important!
