Ancient Realms don't appear to work for me. I warp to a gate-like area and none of the intractable things there do anything, save for the teleporter home.

 

As it has been said Ancient Realm doesn't work, and i haven't found a way to complete The Anicent Sword quest

 

The quest giver asks for 300 blocks of bones, not 300 bones.

 

ye found it out a min ago but isn't it better to point it out in quest's info?

 

I once looked at the logs after attempting to interact with the pillars in the Ancient Realm, and there is an error associated with it. Don't readily remember what the error was, though.

 

I believe I heard something about it not working well with the mysterious stars mod, but I'm not sure what aspect doesn't work right with it. I have mysterious stars, frackin' universe, and lazarus dungeons and they all seem to work perfectly fine. With the exception of the ancient realms, but everyone has that problem.

 

So does anyone know a way to change your crew' armor? Is it possible in-game or through some simple modding or is it hardcoded into the npc itself?

 

You can, actually! In YourStarboundCrew\npcs folder, open the *.npctype of your choice. Not sure whether you need to edit the *.npctype or *2.npctype file, so just edit both.

Look for "items" in that file. Change the values of "head", "chest", "legs", and "back" to what you want.

Your always-trusted script editor.
I recommend notepad++.
You can also use the windows standard notepad.
The only thing you shouldn't ever use is Wordpad, this will corrupt the file into a non-utf-8 format, making it unable to read for the parser.

So, err. It appears that the latest update to YSC utterly broke my game, what with the removing of unstable stars. My ship is orbiting a star that isn't unstable itself, but there are unstable stars nearby. I go to the starmap, game crashes. Does anyone have a fix that doesn't involve me deleting my universe, taking my homeworld (the world I'm orbiting) with countless hours put in with it?

Er...no? I suppose I could TRY...but the problem is with the removal of the Unstable Stars from YSC. How would this help?

 

Starbound Side Stories adds a planettype defined as "crewunstablestar".
If that doesn't answer your question, normal human language:

It adds the links to the star you're missing.
