Unfortunately I haven't found any blueprints yet, but have you tried using it like a disposable item (such as food or bandages). Alternatively, have you tried scanning it into your 3D printer?

 

Sigh....I tried everything about that.

 

Have you checked to see if it's a material used in something that is now showing up at one of your crafting stations (Depending on what the blueprint is)?

How do I warm myself up, my 1st planet gets cold enough to kill during night and it's moon is freezing.

EDIT 2: Ok real head scratchier why is it everything that looks like it could kill me is friendly and everything that looks friendly is deadly.

Just curious as to how many times Starbound has been downloaded in the first 24hrs of release.

Steam stats state there has been a peak of 55K people on at once (peak today). It would be interesting to hear.

It's also currently second only to Dota 2 and still currently has twice as many as 3rd "currently online" So I feel this would be quite a successful beta launch that can hopefully projected performance as the game progresses to full release.

Stats are interesting... well to me at least

 

I'm really excited for them, many people are having issues with launching this earliest beta build, but have faith folks... the Chucklefish folks are good people, they'll get it sorted out A.S.A.P.

So whats with the chili pepper crop? They do not seem to want to grow at all...and exclusively them. Do they only grow on arid planets or something?

 

Where can I find gold ore, about how deep, I have searched two worlds, large areas, one on a lvl 2 desert world, I hit magma rock, and on a lvl 20 jungle

So I want/ed to put my homebase on a lava world, but haven't found one. SO has it been removed/not added yet/ after gama sector?

 

I've found gold randomly in small quantity both just below the surface and deep. Seems to be randomly positioned, but some worlds may not have as much. Like my 2nd world, had no settlements on it at all!

 

Can I backup characters for upcoming updates or will they be deleted?

 

They might not be compatible anymore. Only one way to find out,try it.

 

Regarding ships: when the game gets completely released, will each player still start with a ship? or will ships be craftable? I hope players will have to craft their ship instead of start with one.

 

Do you lose pixels when you log off. Before i logged off i had 1050 pixels and i logged back on maybe like 3 hours later and i have 209 pixels? Just wondering if it is a bug or something? Any answers would be great

 

I think that's a bug, I haven't noticed it.

I believe that the start of the game is pretty much locked in, you run out of fuel above x.

Hey about that Char Creator . Can I make a character there and then inport it into my game ? If "yes" how do I do it ? Because there are some really nice features there that are missing from the game's creator. For ex. the glitch heads ! They are awesome.
Another thing is that I am getting lag on my computer. The computer is pretty neat actually and can bear Shogun Total War on good graphics so its 100% not the video card or that is crappy. It uses Nvidia. The most lag that I get is when I go into an Apex city for example or a big castle.

I can't get the 3D Printer to work. How does it work?

 

The only things I've been able to scan into the printer so far is chests and the like. Furniture items, as well. It's a pixel cost to scan it in, and then you can recreate them using just pixels whenever you're at the printer.
