Will we be able to join our friends space ships?

If you don't get what i meant, here's an example:
I'm piloting the ship, and flying to an other galaxy. My friend is also there.
My friend comes to my ship, then we fly into another galaxy to eat some bacon.

Yes you can join your friends in their spaceships. What isn't confirmed is if we can travel with them, what I already suggested since it looks nice and social. ^^

 

Alternatively, maybe Ships could group fly to places, maybe in ways where they can work together to fly in a way that saved fuel compared to traveling alone... kinda like how Geese save energy with their V Formation flying.

Anything to make Groups good stuff.

 

Yes for we travel with friends, in their ships, something must be done for "what happens with our ship then?"

 

If you could leave the ship behind, either fly back with your friend to reclaim your ship later, hitch a ride with the local NPCs to collect your ship, (Perhaps as a quest type thing).
Or more directly, to not leave it behind, TRACTOR BEAM. Course that may not work well with FTL. "That sure is a nice ship you have there, let me tow you to the next sector..."

 

What can I say? I think people flying their own Ships together makes more sense then people riding in one Ship, then what'll happen if the Owner of the Ship decides to ditch the others...? Hmm...?

Plus, stick a 6 person battlegroup of people into one Ship... can that one Ship also hold all 6 people's full Storage Inventories...? Late game, I bet everyone's gonna have a LOT of stuff...

Better for everyone to fly their own Ship, & their own Inventory, & fly together.

 

Anyone think that the mobs will be able to damage each other? ...I personally doubt it but...well except for maybe one you might have as pets? I still haven't quite figured out how that is supposed to work, anyone know a good thread for that?

 

I don't know if this has been asked already, but how customizeable will spaceships be? Cause i'd like something like in starmade (funny how the names are similar...) where you can add blocks individually to your ship...

 

Do the Glitch run on Biodiesel?

 

Pretty sure that's not in the game...at least they haven't said anything about it.

That is very unlikely, there isn't any info on such thing. What was discussed was the Monsters can Attack NPCs.

There is your Basic Ship Visual (race locked, for now), then you can change titles, backgrounds, items, lights, etc..etc.. It will give you a pretty good customization of your Ship. And it's also Upgradeable it's good to let us have things our own way. Still everything know till the moment points you won't have total freedom of customization when it comes to exterior visual > ship itself layout, as you asked.

 

Well i'd like at least being able to add modular rooms/objects on... the starter ship seems way too small :S

 

Yes it was said it will be much bigger, with upgrades.

 

Where can I find out about all the different races? Nothing on the Wiki or the FAQ.

Is there any more details regarding power/energy/fuel?

Each race seems to be at a different level of tech and come from different eco systems.

For example, will the Hylotl use algae/hydro fuel sauces as opposed to say the Glitch whom may only use fire/coal?

 

That was never seen. Races are only Vanity, as said there's nothing only race-based than vanity. Then it's very unlikely what you said.
Fuel what is know is that you can have it by very different ways, Coal is one know digable stuff you can use it get fuel!

 

I was curious as in the building video there was outer defenses on the roof that looked electric (around 50s mark) :



I was hoping there would be need for a fuel sauce to manage to keep it going, or to target to shut it down during a raid.

That's an item, like the Spikes of Terraria, it looks placeable and it kind defends the building, but surely also kills you!

 

Bacon, It was actually said that the ships run on all kinds of different fuel. So, it's highly likely that certain races may rely mainly on one type of fuel because that's simply what's on their homeplanet(s).
There's just nothing to restrict a race from using another fuel in their ship.

Also, races are not just for vanity. It's summarized in the first link in my sig that races will only have their own tech available to them early game, but that late game they will be able to obtain other races' tech.
That makes race choice important for play style and the armor buffs that are specific to each class. I'm still undecided on my race until I hear firm results about what the race specific armor and tech will be!

 

Yes I know ships can run different kinds of fuel. Now it isn't race-locked fuel, your home-planet as stated it's only the start of story mode / tutorial, the rest is the sandbox. There is your starter gear that is race-based and give you the X bonus.. For some reason they don't add to add any race-only stuff than vanity.
