New Question: Can a Character do Single Player & Multiplayer, as in switch between the 2 anytime?

 

It depends on whether the server owner allows importing characters.

 

Will there be boats, submarines? And will you get to make your own vehicles or are they pre made?

 

We don't know much about that, but since there are going to be mechs it's possible that some of those mechs could be aquatic which would be similar to a submarine. I have seen a screenshot of a boat, so I think those will be in.

 

And, how can we use snipers in a 2-D game?

 

The most common and probable method is that it's like any other gun, just with a small, fast and powerful projectile and slow firerate.

Zoom, if any, can be done by moving camera forward and/or zooming out. There are other methods too, but not many as convenient as those for a sprite based 2D game.

 

As far a I know zoom is implemented by allowing players with scoped weapons scroll the screen further to the left and right

 

Will trees grow on their own or will you have to plant each?

 

We actually have no idea, but I believe you have to plant them.
But they'll never grow on screen. You gotta leave them alone.

But if you scope left or right how can you know that there is something that infront of your enemy?

 

You see the whole screen, and can pan around/zoom in and out. If you zoom and pan so far you can't see behind your character, it's your problem.

 

How will the whole 'Home planet' thing work?

 

It actually was abandoned in favor of a home ship. All your stuff is on it, and it can be made larger and built on.

 

This mean we don't get to claim a Planet as our own anymore...?

 

We do get to claim a home planet. He's wrong. The devs are just considering getting rid of the space station in favor of using the space ship instead.

Basically, throughout your travels you'll be finding some pretty sweet planets, some maybe so awesome you'd like to live there. A home planet is a planet you claim and as such, you get special bonuses like terraforming it and some other ones.
You can also set rules on it, for example no explosives are allowed, or banning certain weapons.
Also if you create housing, you'll have NPC's moving in that can give you quests and sell you items.

There was definitely an ocean biome picture taken in game that showed off an obvious sail boat with a robot in it. Nothing is set in stone.
