Well... I think they'll use it like food or water, but I'm not sure. Because it would be harder to get oil (to feed your robot) than go and get meat/fish/veggetables/etc. to feed any other kind of race.

 

It would make sense. If us humans are able to get energy and nutrients from food and water, then the robots would have developed a way to do it also. It would have to be consistent with other races or it wouldn't be fair.

 

Maybe races could get different bonus from what they are using. Like when robot uses oil, he becomes faster; apex eats fruit - becomes stronger and etc. It would be nice

 

So for bonuses, Avians would eat plant seeds, Hyoltylylls would eat fish and Florans would eat meat..

Humans get something lame like chicken I dunno.

 

Well, maybe humans could use vitamins or things like that.

 

What needs to be completed before the release assuming that people can currently play the game ?

 

Everything is almost(!) ready. They're testing it now.

I can not remember where I heard this, but if I am remembering this correctly Tiy said that there will be large scale terraformig. I am not sure how this would work or where you would be allowed to do it; however, I think he also said you could terraform your home world. So, yes you and your friends should be able to do what you are planning. If anyone notices that anything I have said is false please feel free to correct me.

 

What you're saying is exactly right. The details are still hazey, as not much information has been released, but yes you can eventually terraform on a large scale, however from my understanding you can only do this on your homeworld, (A planet you designate as such) and it's not a cheap process.

 

I like this. One of the biggest nuisances about Terraria was the terraforming. It was great, but it was REALLY tedious. They gave you all the tools needed, but they weren't scalable to larger projects. It felt like trying to build a house with a watchmaker's hammer and a pocketknife. Large-scale terraforming and scalable tools (like the "four blocks at once" I saw in one of the videos) should help this out immensely.
It would also be nice to be able to create and then replicate templates. Let's say you create a building or room or something and need to build five more of them. It would be nice to have a sort of "Macro" that allowed your character to auto-replicate that structure at a location of your choosing.

 

Is there going to be pets, ridable mounts, buildable workers that chop trees/mine for u, and spaceships ?

Yes. Maybe you won't have someone to build things/chop trees/etc. But I think that you'll have only one starship, which you'll upgrade. Yes there'll be pvp.

I saw some information on a starmap. That indicated to me that there will be the ability to explore multiple planets? Is that correct?

If so then what limits are there for the number of planets that can be explored on a server?

I intend to host one myself when it is released. My server has a lot of processors and processing power and would like to take full advantage of it. I love the idea of having loads of planets for players on my server to explore, Perhaps a planet each or more!

I cannot wait for this game.. Well I mean I can wait because we have to! But I don't want too!!

 

Yes, you will be able to land and explore multiple planets. Sizes of galaxies on servers are... Well, big! That's all I can say.

How big will planet maps be? If there are varying planet sizes then I imaging the worlds will vary too.?

And How will the planets work? Will they been 1 map which loops back on itself so if you kept walking in 1 direction you would end up back at the start? Or like in a game like Terraria where there is a limit to the maps width?

 

There is a virtually infinite number of planets to explore. There are so many it will take you a long time to explore all of them, even with help.

Planets are varying in size and loop around at the edges.

 

Apologies if it has been asked up-thread, but does anyone know if the Soundtrack will be available to download/purchase separately to the game at any point post-release? I love the tracks that are up on the website (I mean, I love soundtracks anyway usually, but these are particularly nice) and it would be great if they made it available. (I don't mind paying for it separately, either, though I know a few people will be crying "Noooo, ask for it for freeeee!")
