It would be damn awesome if NPCs indeed actually protect themselves... My freaking buggers, it was always retarded looking for Terraria's Dryad to keep wanting more Hallow in the world, no matter how many times Hallow Monsters Eviscerated her...

Hmm... that makes me wonder, now that I think about it... Does the Player have to actively supply Armament to their NPC Allies as part of Ally Management, or do they supply themselves...?

Might it be possible to get a planetary nuke to completely erase/destroy a planet (Like in spore lulz)

The devs have been talking about ways to severely damage a planet or destroy it, so it most likely will be in the game. I'm 90% sure there won't be any consequences (other than the resources used to make the weapon which destroys the planet), because the devs want planets to be expendable.

 

All I want to know is the level of customization. More to the point in the character creator.

 

Of course, I do not expect that scientists will kill monsters.

 

If monsters created randomly, what will be the description of it in "logbook"?

Sorry if anybody asked already (don't feel like looking through entire thread) but when StarBound comes out, I plan on making a let's play of it. I just wanted to know if any special permissions are neccesary to record gameplay, or is it like Terraria where anybody was allowed to record gameplay footage. An answer would be greatly appreciated.

 

I'm pretty sure that you wouldn't need permission as long as you didn't try to make money off the LP and make sure to attribute Chucklefish for the creation of the game. You may not even need to do the second one as long as you don't try to claim the game as your own creation, Chucklefish is really open to the community and I'm sure they would have no problem with LP's either.
