Your perfect planet, and its back story.

Hey,

So forum-goers, I thought it would be fun if everyone got an idea of what their ideal planet would be, the features you use don't even have to be confirmed! Just give everyone a vivid paragraph of what your dream world in starbound is like!

Mine:

A huge planet with an ocean spanning the entire surface. It has a super volatile seabed so volcanoes are always popping up and leaving islands, that get eroded after a few in game days due to size. One big landmass sits in the middle of the planet, rich in jungle life, massive caves to explore, leading right to the planets core.

Under the ocean there is a civilisation that existed once before the planet was flooded, the volcanoes destroy it more and more with each eruption, so if you want its treasures, you have to move fast!

on the mainland I have a dock with a fishing boat, that I use to go out and catch food before nightfall, and when the surface gets really dangerous due to high tides and monsters, I use my hoverbike to fly up to the floating island hovering over the ocean, and take refuge on the old castle on top, the only surviving remnant of the old world that was flooded.

now that people, is a planet worth calling home.

 

A planet that was formed out of the space junk thrown away by space travelers. Not a huge planet but the people there have made the best of what they have.

 

A planet completely covered with water. I would have my base underwater inside glass spheres. On the surface, I'd have a floating base and an ICE CASTLE for my penguin/lizard army.

AND LOTS OF WILD LIFE!

 

Awesome I really hope there are steampunk elements.

Sounds amazing :O so, Atlantis 2.0? ice castle sounds epic.

 

Hmmm Well my perfect planet

Would be a huge diverse thing. Robots sectors and snakes and reptiles of all sorts. Robot snakes as well! Maybe even some narwhals!

As for backstory..... The snakes and the robots are fighting and as they fight the robots abduct innocent creatures and turn them into robots so it is a constant battle between machine and nature. Oh I love Duality. It's the best ^^;

 

My perfect planet aye? well. Hmm hard one... One without war wouldn't be fun so...

A planet with vivid wildlife, and which is a sub-mammal-settled, extremely technologically advanced planet which had been separated from most other races for billions of years. the entire surface of the planet would be covered with industrialized infrastructure, piplines, factories, mines, refineries and processing plants.

The world would have extremely high gravity wells that appear randomly, but are regulated with technology designed by the planets rulers.
The rulers themselfs being short because of evolution and the gravity wells shaping them that way.

Of course these "sub-mammals" or Xenos would have to be purged in the Emperors name. And the planet taken for the Imperium of Man. It would then become a hive world, where millions of humans live. The technology would if deemed by the Magos heretical be destroyed. (All though the technology would help stablise the planet more, given that I assume they wouldn't. )

Reminds me of that old series for Sonic the hedgehog, this one to be more precise.

I thought so too, I dunno I like the balance and stuff. It's part of who I am ^^.

 

Once apun a whatchumacallit there was a plant that floatd in spece, on this plantet there wz ppl and stuff. Thez peepel were know as the Homo sapiens, or Huu mans. There plant was a peasful place knowed to them az Eart, on eart their war teh humans, but der were aslo the Aleens, who used the'yre spaz techno logee to ensleeve them. Besiids teh hums an aleens, the plate was a prety nice plate. It had butter flies, beauteeful treez and of course, flowers. It was a nice place, but then the aliins destructed it and they all lived happily ever after THE END.

 

This is the most original idea I have ever heard. Just to be sure these are irkens who blew it up right?

 

As I posted on another similar topic,

Imagine a tropic beach paradise. The warm ocean air touching your face and the smell of salty sea water gripping your nostrils. You can do anything you want here. Noone to bother you. and of course this song would have to be played in the background.



That would be the perfect planet...

Some awesome planets, I really hope the generation allows for such diverse planets

 

An eternally night snow covered planet with high precipitation. Until at least 2 out of those 3 demands are met, I will not settle in on a home.

 

mai planet would be a small 2 by 2 rock it'll be great.

 

A tropical world full of palm trees, sand, lots of water, some underwater caves, all seemingly untouched by human hands.

 

Dense deciduous forest, constant cloud cover, frequent heavy precipitation with lots of mammalian life. That'd be nice...

 

A completely destroyed one would suit me the best, a destroyed landscape with the cause of a huge disaster from space, like a meteorite, solar flare or supernova!

 

Planet like in Terra Nova but without dinosaurs and with some harmless animals.

 

Typical alien planet with eyes on the trees,strange animals,dense vegetation and enemies that kills you just by looking at.

 

Loving it.

Heh, typical alien planet? What alien planets have you visited recently? I joke lol. Sounds awesome i'd say that would have the tentacle background lol
