Your First Goal?

Find myself a planet rich in resources, mine it, and climb the tech tree while establishing an underground city somewhere isolated. Find any armor/tech items that boost mining speed, construction, and repair rate, then turn my underground city into a fortress bristling with turrets and traps so that when the pirates/main antagonist shows up I can just throw down a welcome mat, kick back in my control room, and say "come at me bro." From this fortified base I will expand across the galaxy, establishing outposts and supply caches for that big push against the dudes who blew up my planet.

 

Build a house, and a big mailbox, so that I can receive cake.

Hmm, there is only one goal for me! Gather an NPC that helps me fight! We will share our secrets and tell each other scary stories at the campfire!

Capture, tame, and prepare a penguin to fight to the death in the annual Penguin Games on the planet Penguinopia for ultimate victory and glory.

 

Get the closest thing to shurikens and katana, and buy the closest thing to speed enhancers.

 

After seeing the Monster Monster contest winner(s), my new first goal is going to be tracking down and capturing a Poptop to keep as a pet.

 

Besides running the game, I'll probably find a hole to live in on the first planet before hunting down a fiery hellish planet to build my evil fortress of doom which will be built from materials gained by "eating" the first planet

OPERATION: Foreman


Prime Objective - Locate a habitable world with high levels of natural resources for processing. Once a suitable target has been selected, begin construction of CoreTech Industries Deep-Crust Mining Facility Number One, in accordance with Corporate Security Code: Alpha-Alpha-Alpha-1. OPERATION: Foreman will be declared complete only once the confirmation signal has been received that all facility systems are operational.

Secondary Objective 1 (Mandatory) - Eradicate any nearby indigenous flora or fauna which may pose a risk to the safety of the facility and its staff.

Secondary Objective 2 (Optional) - Locate a suitable construction zone for a Starport. Preferably in close proximity to the Mining Facility.

Secondary Objective 3 (Optional) - Locate a suitable construction zone for a Space Elevator. Preferably in close proximity to the Mining Facility and Starport.


Overall Goal:

The overarching mission behind OPERATION: Foreman is the construction and establishment of a continuous source of resources to send back to CoreTech Industries HQ. Our investors have put a lot of funding into this excavation mission, and they are expecting results, so we're pulling out all the stops on this one. Survey as many planets as it takes to get this right. If we start blowing our money digging up holes in the sand with nothing to show for our efforts, or worse... build a Multimillion Pixel Mining Facility on some barren rock... we're going to lose our financial backing.

Once construction is complete, our focus must shift from Deep-Crust Mining Facility One to locating a suitable landing zone for our cargo transports. While the actual construction of this Starport is not covered under OPERATION: Foreman, it will play a significant role in ensuring that the operation is a success. Our other secondary goal, selecting a site for the construction of our Space Elevator, is a similar matter. Because all processing is done from the safety of High-Atmosphere Orbital Processing and Fabrication Plants, and our only functional facility was lost with the destruction of [insert homeworld here], it is pivotal that we re-establish a functional plant as quickly as possible. Thus, if time permits, these two sites should be selected and 'primed' for construction.
