I would love to preorder to support Omni and Bartwe.

 

Yes, I would pre-order the fuck out of this game. Anything to help make the game come closer to it's release. Not too interested in the art book/music tiers thing, but hey, that's just me.

 

Hmmm yes... yes... and yes. As for possible rewards, personally as the artistic type, I would love some sort of soundtrack or concept art book. As for the time frame, take your time! As someone expecting a great game, I can also expect a fair time frame. (As long as it is what you say it is)

I would pre-order Starbound guaranteed. Having pre-orders help you guys put food on the table and allow some of you guys to get more hours into developing the game only makes pre-ordering sound like the best course of action. For tiers the ones you already suggested should work fine (cant think of any ). 2013 would not be to large of a time frame for myself or many others seeing how some of us have been waiting for other big named games for far longer periods of time (Aliens Colonial Marines ). In regards to the SWOT Analysis this course of action appears to have some good strengths and opportunities while having little to no weaknesses or threats.

 

Yes, a thousand time yes.

 

I assure you I would preorder 2 copies, bare minimum.

And I would love to name a star or two.

 

I'm totally in! (as it seems most others are) Can't wait for this game, I'd say I'm definitely in the "pay with my soul" category so if a preorder will help with that then i'm all for it. Steam key(s) idea is awesome. I'd personally like to see some aesthetic preorder rewards like additional character creation stuff or something along those lines.

 

I would definitely preorder, both for beta access and because it supports development of the game.

2013 is a little bit of a large window, it would be cool if there was at least a Q2,Q3, or Q4 in front of it. But don't let that stop you from opening preorders

It's a very good idea, if you ask me. As for doing the payments, I'm not too sure. The only thing I really know of for that is Kickstarter.

 

This would definitely fit the requirements to be the second game I've ever pre-ordered.

 

IIRC, Steam now has that whole Early Access deal.
I would love to preorder Starbound, but unless it's via PaySafeCard (or Steam, and thus also PSC), not happening for me.

PayPal is way too unwieldy for that.

 

I'll buy. And one for my friend. He'll play. He says he "doesn't like these types of games" but I played that garbage chivalry game long enough.

ON-TOPIC: Yes, absolutely, in a heartbeat. I would love to pitch some money as a pre-order to help fund the development process of this game.

Tier 1) Credit to all those who preorder on forums. ($1)
Tier 2) Contents of tier 1 + "Cheap Helper" achievement ($2)
Tier 3) Contents of tier's 1 and 2 + one poster from the forum and a custom skin of the devs choice. ($6)
Tier 4) Contents of tier's 1-3 + Starbound T-Shirt in diff. colors with all devs on the back ($10)

I think this game will flourish!

 

Sounds absolutely awesome! You should definitely get that roadmap done, but first, the preorder! Also. perhaps continue the roadmap when the game is released, like roadmap to the next big update or something?
