Now I think that a wonderful idea and I think that you should give the people who preorder the game a special in game item like a SCIENCE PLASMA RAINBOW SWORD or something like that

I would totally pre-order this game, perhaps even about three times so my buddy's have copies to play with me as well. And if it helps the dev team out, then that could only mean, in my thoughts, that the game would be made faster, so double bonus there.

But seriously, I think we're 'all' pretty much for pre-order. Because even if we don't, why not let other people do it? Helps the devs get us a better game faster

 

This game is worth much more than listed. I'd honestly have no problem in pre-ordering Starbound at $60, the usual price of the inferior & shitty FPS games.

 

Love the idea and would pre-order two or three copies.

I think that the pre-order idea is a great way to speed up the creation of Starbound and for most fans the time frame doesn't matter all that much, just so long as it is within 2013. Although this is a great idea i only have one major concern, will you be able to allow pre-orders on steam because i think it would allow a broader audience to be formed. currently i am blind as to how money would be transferred from steam to the developers, for all i know steam leeches off of the money payed for the pre-order and thus less actually gets to the developers. I really am looking forward to playing Starbound in the not-so-near future and i hope this would all go well for the Developers.

2013 is a rather large time frame. Please be as specific as possible, if only to reassure people about delays. Perhaps part of the roadmap could be a shifting ETA?

Sounds great. As far as tiers go, I'd really like to be able to get a 2 or a 4 pack of the game as well. It'd be great to explore the universe with some friends right at launch
