on vacation right now but real quick:

I'll support you guys with any method of preorder. I'm hoping though that the beta happens sooner rather than later. either way in excited!

 

I would buy the game preorder or no preorder. I do think it's a good idea though so please make it happen. Also Steam has now started what they call "Early Access" in which you can "preorder" certain games and play the beta or alpha of the game. KSP or Kerbal Space Program is one game that is using this so far. As for Paypal and such... I, personally, feel it is limiting; i can't use them and you may not get as many customers through it. I'd prefer direct credit card payment or paying through Steam.

 

Yes, I would buy whatever you allow me to buy. However I have no idea what this 'Humble' thing everyone is talking about is.

I will preorder it in first day - that is sure.

But I think giving frame "2013" is really...uh big. So I will just wait for road-map

And idea with "pay more - get goodies" is really cool Probably wont have cash for highest tier, but hope to get OST

 

I believe that this would help to spread the good word of Starbound and it would also please both myself and the rest of the forum members immensely. The Sorcerer approves and would really love it if this became a reality

assuming that the cost of the preorder would be 10$ and the price when the beta is actually released is 15$, I would like to see something like a 4-5 pack of games you can purchase, the idea being that you pay the full price for 4 games (40$ in this case) and get one free. This way, you can still get one for yourself, and give 4 to friends or something. However, the idea of spending extra money for cool things like concept art or the bonus of private livestreaming and recorded livestreams to show stuff off would be pretty sweet too.

 

Without thinking too much i´m in because i love the game already and, above all, the attitude and love you guys are putting in this project. Your dream game has become mine too (on a diferent emotional level of course)!

Tough, on a second thought, if we preorder the game i would really like to know clearly when will the beta be available, because a vaguely 2013 is a huge timeframe in my opinion: will it be 3 months, 6, or more? Dont get me wrong - i wanna support and i dont mind to preorder and even pay the full price, but i dont want to wait a long time to actually play the game i already bought. Rather than that, I buy online using mastercard...

I dont like the idea of all those different prices schemes, as those are marketing modern solutions that in my opinion dont benefict the gaming industry . If you want to include soundtrack and whatever, just include it in the final price and product, period. I´ll happly pay for that equal-to-all-players final product , and im sure others will too. After that, when the time pass, make GOTY and collector´s editions, or whatever.

I love this idea. Pre-order will give the game to people who really need it for a cheaper price, also it gives good figures on how many people are planning on playing. As for the Tiers i think that being able to name monsters, items, stars or planets is a really good idea because it lets the pre-order-er put something personal into the game at no cost to you the developers.

 

I would like one of the higher teirs to be a unique world where we get to "talk" to the team, no special items or such, just getting to talk to you guys, if that's possible.
